Value Quest seeks partners which share Value Quest’s values. We invest essentially in teams and their potential, as it is predominantly human capital which determines the success of an investment.

How do we work?

Signing a NDA

All information received by Value Quest is safe. Yet for company owners and managers to feel more comfortable, prior to sharing their expertise and plans we sign a non-disclosure agreement, which legally binds us not to disclose the data to any third parties.

Working meetings

We believe that a company’s greatest value lies in its people. We want to get to know our future partners well and give them an opportunity to get to know us. We attempt to truly comprehend the proposed project in numerous meetings, so that at the final stage of the process we can offer terms and conditions that will enable us to achieve our, and our partners’, long term goals. Based on the meetings and the acquired information, we prepare a development plan and the company’s or project’s financial model. We analyze all possible risks and their potential impact on the venture’s success.

Presenting a non-binding offer

A business plan and/or a financial model are the basis for carrying out further analysis and for agreeing on the terms of cooperation. Once we are convinced that we have the knowledge required to progress mutually beneficial discussions, we present the company with a non-binding offer, which determines the key terms of cooperation, such as: company valuation, transaction structure, shareholders’ rights and other criteria specific for a given company.

Due Diligence

After acceptance of the initial offer, Value Quest engages advisors to carry out due diligence. This stage involves verifying the operational, financial and legal situation of the company. Based on the results, Value Quest decides whether to present the company with a binding offer or determines what changes should be considered.

Signing the contract/SPA and carrying out the transaction

The process of negotiations is finalized when the terms presented in the binding offer are accepted. Next, both parties sign the investment contract and complete the business arrangements, with Value Quest providing the funds required.

Exiting the investment

Achieving our return on investment is possible only by means of selling our stake or creating liquidity through a public listing. Having achieved the desired increase in value, Value Quest exits the investment, always taking into consideration the best interest of the company and its remaining owners. The most frequent forms of exit are sale of the stake to a strategic or financial investor, IPOs or sale of our stake to the company’s remaining owners. When agreed together, a strategic sale will also be considered.

After many years of working together as an investment group, the Value Quest team has begun its independent investment activities in 2016. VQ has a pipeline of investments it is considering, born of its experience and relationships built across time in the Polish business community.

The company designs, develops and produces advanced radio communication systems used by secret services, the police and the army. The best quality of the products renders them marketable around the globe. Secom is the first investment made by the Value Quest.
